Farewell to Business Colleague

Bob was a shareholder in Lincolnshire International, a referral group in which CareerLab was a member. Though my association with him was only by phone, I sent him a parting wish for luck and success, shown below. His reply is also below. My minimal effort was repaid with further referrals.
Bob,

I was sorry to learn that you're leaving Lincolnshire.  I really enjoyed getting to know you in the few brief phone conversations we had.  I wish you the greatest success and happiness in your new venture.  I hope the sale of your business has worked well for you—and I hope our paths cross many times in the future.

Bob replied:

Thank you so much for your sentiments.  I, too, enjoyed "meeting" you during our telephone conferences.  Even though we won't share membership in Lincolnshire, we do share a commitment to quality consulting.  That, at least, provides adequate reason for staying in touch . . . which is what I hope we will continue to do.  Thanks again for your good wishes!

Bob
