Thank You For Reference

You win some, you lose some. In this case we lost. We were competing for an executive outplacement, and the candidate chose another firm. Several former clients had given us references, and I wanted to let them know the outcome.

Subject: Thanks for your reference . . .

Jeffry,

Jeanna Zadofsky chose VAND USA over us, primarily because I went on vacation and we were slow getting references to her. Also, several of her friends had used VAND—a hard obstacle to overcome. Thanks for your efforts on our behalf.

Talk soon,

:B
P.S.—Jeanna's decision is explained below.

Bill,
It was not an easy decision since both companies' references gave equally glowing reports. The deciding factor came down to executives who had excellent experiences in the local outfit and whom I personally knew from past networking.

Please believe me, I heard nothing but praises from your references, and I certainly want to thank you for your patience toward my indecisive attitude.

Thank you again for your interest and help in reaching a decision I can live with,
Jeanna
