Thank You to Speakers on Panel

For five years, we hosted a monthly networking breakfast for $100,000K+ executives. The meeting featured a 30-minute talk by a well-respected authority on career management or job hunting, usually a successful client, major employer, or executive recruiter. I gave each speaker a $50 gift certificate from Barnes & Noble and handwritten thank you note. I personalized the notes to make them memorable. The challenge was to write 60 different notes. Several are included in this collection.

I this case, I invited a panel of three executive recruiters to speak about the job market. Because the audience was full of high-level executives, this was a marketing opportunity for them. I tailored a slightly different version of this thank you letter to each presenter. Jarrod was planning a trip to Italy.

Dear Jarrod,

Thanks for your presentation yesterday. Your research proved quite interesting and informative, and we really appreciate the hard work that went into your survey. (I decided a long time ago not to do recruiting—it's too much like real WORK.)

I think you got some real traction with the audience, and I'm confident this will translate into future assignments.

I'm traveling until mid-next-week, but will contact you to see photos and stories of ITALY.

With many thanks,

<
