Great Asset To Me

E-mail is fine for most communication, but when I write an important testimonial or letter of thanks, I like to put it on paper. Who knows, the recipient might like to frame it, or keep it close at hand. E-mail doesn't have the same weight as a signed note on corporate letterhead.

Dear Andi,

You have been a great asset to me since you joined our company.  Your upbeat attitude, friendly smile, and can do approach have made my job much easier.  If you had not helped me so much, I could not have tackled the task of seeking new office space, which has been a difficult project for me.

Your enthusiasm has lifted all of us—the consultants, the clients and the vendors. Your arrival on board has truly turned us into a working team, whereas before we were merely a collection of individuals.

Because we're so busy, I seldom have time to say thanks.  But I notice the many small ways you make a difference, and here's an example:

I try to end sessions with clients with a warm, friendly send off.  I notice that you chime in—not just for my clients, but for everyone—with a warm good bye of your own. This clearly sends the message that WE REALLY CARE, which we do. Caring is the hallmark of our business. It is the reason we ARE in business, and you are a leader in making all of us—consultants, clients, vendors, and strangers—feel cared about.

Thanks, and continued good success,

William S. Frank
