One of my fellow consultants told me about the eight rules he had developed for raising his teenage daughters. Writing about these rules was a labor of love. He was following his heart, and it didn't pay much.
When the TV show "8 Simple Rules" became a huge hit, I worried that someone had stolen his idea. Digging further, I learned that he had been intimately involved in the creation of the show. This is known as making it big.

Hi Quinton,
I caught your Denver radio show this morning, and was relieved to hear that you're involved with the TV show "8 Simple Rules." For the past several months, I've been concerned that they stole your concept.
I'm glad to hear you are involved—and what an exciting adventure! I'm so pleased for your success. You have really worked from the heart and focused on your dreams, and it's nice to see you win. Continue to follow "the path with a heart" (Carlos Castaneda).
You deserve the very best,
:Bill
