I was hosting TOP-12, a roundtable for human resources executives, and one member who had recently joined the group left to take a job out of state. I had sent a meeting announcement, and this was his reply. My note to him is below. He was an influential executive, so I wanted to stay connected. Bron USA was his new employer.

Bill—I resigned my position last week and will be starting at Bron USA on December 11. I'll be on the road a lot in the beginning and then eventually relocating out to San Jose, CA.
I do not expect that I will be able to attend this or future sessions, so I must respectfully remove myself from this great group of people. Can you please offer my apologies to the group that I could not be there in person to say goodbye.
Bill, I do appreciate the opportunity you gave me to be part of the group—although brief, I found it fun and valuable. I expect that our paths will cross again in the future and I will send you an update, once I get settled.

Kelleigh,
My gosh . . . apparently Bron USA enticed you! Well, congratulations. This sounds like a perfect fit. And yes, please keep me on your e-mail list. I'd like to stay in touch to pick your brain from time to time.
