For three years I faciliated a 12-person group composed of high-level human resources executives from Colorado's largest corporations. It was appropriately called "TOP-12." When one member needed assistance, I asked another member to help, thus extending my friendship with both.

Subject: Please help with Sarbanes-Oxley audit . . .
Pete,
Our friend and fellow TOP-12 member, Ruby Elmendorf, AVP Training & Organization Development for Colonial/Oklahoma Life, is looking for a local vendor to conduct an employee survey on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Ruby says, "The law is so open to interpretation right now that there don't appear to be standard questions, and so we'd be developing them based on our own assessment of critical issues."
The purpose of Ruby's survey will be to:
- Identify areas in the company for further follow-up/audit.
- Validate or disprove our "gut" on some issues.
- Produce reports by major org units, by officer, exempt, non-exempt status.
- Keep questions actionable: Is it data we can do something with?
- Ideally, have questions that can be benchmarked.
- Keep this as short as possible.
Please contact Ruby directly with your thoughts and ideas, and advice:
Best wishes for a happy summer,
William S. Frank (Bill)
