Thank You For Mention or Quote

Any time you are mentioned or quoted in a written news item, whether it's a one-liner or 1,000-word feature article, it's a great idea to thank the writer. I don't just thank them, I also offer ideas for future work together.

Subject: Thank You

Mark,

Thanks for the ink last Thursday in "Changing horses in midcareer." It was a delightful article, as always, and I enjoyed being interviewed and quoted. I found the lawyer-turned-bike-shop-owner extremely interesting. For one thing, we've counseled lots of burned out attorneys.

This Web page will give you an idea of what we do at CareerLab under the umbrella of "Career Strategies and Human Capital Management." www.careerlab.com/hr-menu.htm

There may be some story ideas there that we could pursue in the future. (Newsweek says that by 20— there will be 6,200,000 more jobs than people to fill them. That should cause quite an impact.)

Good luck with your writing, Mark.
And thanks again,

:B
