Kemp is the Vice President of Human Resources for a colorado employer with 6,000 employees. When he came to Denver from another state, I invited him to attend my human resources leadership group TOP-12, and we became friends. He is a bright, adventuresome, risk-taker, with many far-out cultural interests. He drives a bright red sports car as well as a BMW motorcycle.
Lunch with him is always fun, and we often exchange small gifts such as a magazine article, book, or CD. It's rare for a corporate executive to buy a consultant lunch—usually, it's the other way around. I have completed several successful consulting assignments for Kemp's corporation.

Kemp,
Thanks for your kindness in buying me lunch. You introduced me to a new place, and demonstrated extreme sharp wit. You're a good friend and I really appreciate you.
