Begin or Expand Your LinkedIn Network
Ten years ago, LinkedIn wasn't necessary. Today, it's essential. In many ways, LinkedIn has replaced resumes, with business leaders studying each other's profiles even before meeting.
Tony Belzer is a Regional Sales Director at Pandora, but earlier in his career he began building his LinkedIn connections. Yes, I know, you can use LinkedIn's built-in feature to invite friends to connect. That's effective, I do it often, but Tony's approach is even better, especially if you're trying to get first-timers to join the network.
In this case, before he could invite colleagues to connect, he had to confirm their contact information. Tony's hallmark is positivity. You can't get more upbeat than this.
Hello from Houston. Hey . . . I just wanted to shoot you a quick note to confirm your contact information, and also invite you to connect with some other incredible people. LinkedIn is a network of powerful executives across the country, well the world, who are connected though common acquaintances. It's been very helpful for me and I wanted you to be in on this resource too (and since it's free and only takes about 4 minutes to fill out it's well worth it.)
