I'd like to share some very exciting news with you.

As of June 1st, I've established an insurance practice affiliated with Connecticut Mutual Life, a highly respected "blue chip" company for the last 142 years.

Although I firmly decided before going to work for Connecticut Mutual that I would never use friendship for business purposes, I feel that it would be appropriate to at least make you aware of my career change and to offer my services should your situation warrant it. I would be happy to make an objective appraisal of your present life or disability insurance situation at some time in the future.

I'm sure you'll agree that because we are friends, you would receive a more accurate appraisal of your insurance situation from me that you would from a total stranger who may not have your best interest at heart. I realize the mere fact that we are friends is no reason why you should buy insurance from me. On the other hand, it's no reason why you shouldn't, either.
