Dear Allen:

It was a pleasure talking to you this morning. A short resume and an excerpt from Fortune magazine are enclosed which summarize my experience and highlight a few of my accomplishments.

You stated that Mike Taylor wants to take advantage of today's strong growth climate and build his company into a substantial factor. Helping him achieve this sounds like a challenge I would very much like to meet.

Most of my career has been in management and finance and I have built a consistently successful track record handling situations like this. My personal strengths and abilities have enabled me to work successfully in a variety of industries, as evidenced by my level of accomplishment in jobs that ranged from turnarounds to raising large sums of money for limited partnerships.

With regard to immediate compensation, I am flexible if there is adequate potential for growth. Equity participation would greatly influence my salary requirements. Geographic location is not a major consideration.

Finally, personal chemistry is important for this effort to be successful. An early meeting between Mike and me would be a good way to determine if this chemistry is present, as well as resolve other questions we both may have.
