Dear Jan:

I want to thank you for all your efforts on my behalf with regards to the L.L. Bean organization. Needless to say, I was disappointed to learn that they selected someone else. I hope it is because they truly felt that the other person was better able to do the job for them, and not merely for economic reasons. If the economics were the deciding factor, I certainly would have entertained a discussion to negotiate an acceptable salary level.

As I have told you, my family and I would like to return to the East. Since both my wife and I were raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, we are hoping to relocate somewhere near there. However, it does not need to be within the state itself. I would consider any favorable career opportunity in the East, including states like Indiana, Kentucky, and Virginia.

I'm certain you will be dealing with other new opportunities in the Eastern states. Please keep me in mind when you are evaluating those job orders. Anything you can do for me will be greatly appreciated.

My best regards,

Ronald L. Yoshihara
