Nice Piece Of Writing #1

One reason I'm published so often is that I'm nice to writers, editors, and reporters. If they quote or feature me, I thank them in writing. I have a favorite business writer named Hamilton Aubrey. He's held several high editorial positions here in Colorado. I have met Hamilton, and he knows me, but we're arms-length friends.

He's an excellent writer—words just seem to flow off his keyboard. He's fun to read. He hasn't quoted or interviewed me. Still, I've sent him several notes like this when I've been blown away by his stories. The word gets around town that I'm media-friendly.

Hamilton,

"Fat Chance" is a nice piece of writing.  I've told you before, but I'll say it again: I enjoy your easy-going style—you're the best.  The image of reading "War and Peace" while standing in line really hit home. I'm a line-avoider myself, and the thought of queuing up behind more than two or three is anathema.

"The Dictionary of the Future" by Faith Popcorn defines "orthorexia" as an unhealthy obsession with eating healthy and avoiding even the slightest bit of fat, preservatives, salt or other bad stuff.  It seems we're obsessed with food in all directions.

Good column.  Keep the good ideas coming.

Your friend,

:B
