Decline Invitation To Sporting Event

The Colorado Rockies is our hometown baseball team, and many corporations use the venue for sales and entertainment. In this case, a partner-consultant invited me to an event I could not attend. Her invitation is followed by my reply. Any time I decline an invitation, I ask to be kept in mind for future events.

Bill,

You are invited to a Rockies ballgame next week, July 18th at 1:00.  I am not sure how much of a Rockies fan you are, but they do play the Diamondbacks and it should be a good game to watch.  The game starts at 1:00, so you could see the game and still be home for dinner.

Let me know if you can go.

Best Regards,

Janelle Weldy

Hi Janelle,

Thanks for the Rockies invitation.
I am a fan, but am locked up in a consulting project that day.
Please keep me in mind for future events.
And thanks for thinking of me.
