The holidays are always a good time to reward, recognize, and reunite your team. Each year, besides bonuses and gifts, I gave our staff cards with handwritten notes. This year the printed message on the card said, "Happy Holidays and every good wish for the New Year." This went to my administrative assistant, with a bonus check.
