Jumping On A Referral

A former client gave my name to a business friend who was going to pass it along to someone else. My client copied me on the e-mail. He also mentioned a competitor, though, and I knew I had to act quickly. Rather than simply wait and hope I got a call from the potential client, I sent this e-mail to the referral source directly. Below are two e-mails: Dave's note to Glenn, and my note to Glenn.

Glenn,
Have your friend call Bill Frank, President/CEO of CareerLab, 303-790-0505 and use my name. If they don't like this option, Executive Management Company is also highly rated but not as personal... hope to see you next week. In either program I would highly recommend using the Birkman Method. It will nail ya!
Dave

Glenn,
Dave copied me on his e-mail to you. I'll be glad to assist you and your friend any way I can. I've been in the career management business 26 years and have worked with the managers and senior leaders of more than 300 brand-name corporations. Naturally, we work nationally—even internationally.

The easiest way to reach me is on my cell phone at 720-555-1212. Call if I can help.
Many thanks,
:B
