A close friend and consultant was subcontracting work from us to a corporation with $5 billion in future business. Our fee split was 80% to him for delivery, and 20% to me for the referral. Twelve hours into the project he sent me a proposed PowerPoint presentation to the client, and I replied with the following e-mail. Even "independent consultants" like to be appreciated.
