One conscientious consultant felt the need to copy me on nearly all her outgoing e-mails. Monitoring her was a full-time job. I sent this note which resolved the issue.

I like to be kept in the loop on important matters, or on issues where I can lend a hand, but not on routine correspondence. My in-basket is getting too full.
