Dear Phil,
It's been too long since we've been in touch, and I hope this letter finds things going well for you. Even when we do get together, we seldom talk business, so the enclosed resume will probably fill in some gaps for you on what I've been doing since law school.
As you can see, I've been primarily involved in building new businesses. Two of them have been great successes for me, the other founders, and our investors. I wish I could count on batting .500 forever!
However, I've made a career decision to look for a long-term position with a growing but stable small to medium-sized company. I am totally open to the type of industry since I have worked with companies in such diverse businesses as electronics, health care, telecommunications, and consumer services. Although I am not looking for investment opportunities, I would consider taking an equity position in the right situation.
If you know or become aware of any business associates, friends, or acquaintances who may be in the market for someone with my abilities, please give them a copy of my resume or give me their names to contact personally. Any assistance or advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Regardless of whether you have any leads, give me a call when you have a chance and let me know what you've been up to.
Best regards,
Sirikarn W. Kanikichiarla
